A varied exhibition area is currently being built in Almere for visitors to the international flower and garden exhibition Floriade Expo 2022. In line with the motto “Growing Green Cities”, a Doppelmayr / Garaventa cable car was chosen as a sustainable means of transport.

As a technology partner, LOOP21 is responsible for the digital area and has installed a WiFi network for cable car control over the entire route. In addition, the cabins were equipped with the Mobility Cabin Control Unit.
This system controls the speech and the automatic announcements to the passengers. A temperature sensor and lighting control under the seats were also installed.

So 34 cabins, 4 supports and 2 stations were connected to each other. The advantages of the Mobility Communication System become apparent during commissioning. The cable car employees can import important information or automatic announcements into individual, multiple or all cabins at any time. The lighting control can also be set automatically.

The cable car will be an attraction for the guests of the Floriade.
It makes it possible to cross the 60-hectare site and the intersecting motorway in the shortest possible time
at the same time enjoying the landscape architecture.
