Digitization also creates many advantages in public transport. By Mobility Communication System we mean the innovative networking of products and services – in the spirit of SMART TRANSPORT.

Infotainment functions

Public Wi-Fi:
With the free public Wi-Fi, passengers enjoy the convenience of stable Internet access.

Cabin Display:
Passengers can be provided with information via a monitor in the cabin.

RGB lighting:
With the RGB lighting, different lighting moods can be created in the cabin.

Sound system:
The Cabin Sound System offers passengers interactive audio entertainment with a stored music playlist.

Digital signage:
Digital signage combines cabin display, sound system and content management in a complete passenger information system.

Vehicle-relevant functions

Announcement:
Time and location controlled automated announcements.

Message:
Speaking over the station microphone or the railway telephone system.

Video surveillance:
Video surveillance of the cabin interior is possible with a camera in the roof lining.

Temperature display and control:
The temperature can be measured and set at various points.

Sensor display and control:
The sensor control offers the use of outside temperature and air pressure sensors. Voltage monitoring and energy consumption are also controlled.

Battery monitoring:
All relevant parameters of the vehicle’s energy supply are monitored. If the value falls below this, a warning signal appears.

Light control:
Time-controlled settings are also possible, as well as settings for the light control in the event of an emergency.

Occupancy detection:
The system recognizes passengers inside the vehicle. The occupancy is displayed on the monitor at the station for passengers and service personnel. Can also be used in combination with the light control.

Display pendulum motion:
The aim of the pendulum motion sensor is to build up knowledge and analyze the upswing and wind behavior and the cabin’s susceptibility to wind in certain cable spans.

Announcement

The audio system allows you to bring different types of informative news and updates to people.

Intercom system with emergency button

Intercom modules for installation in the vehicles provide the passengers with the necessary help at the push of a button.

Video surveillance

Video surveillance

The cabin cameras can be accessed remotely from the station control center for each cabin. This enables the operator to assess the situation inside the cabin or the vehicle in the case of an incident and to initiate further measures.

The images can be viewed up to 48 hours back. After 48 hours, the oldest images are automatically removed.

Of course, the cameras are also used at the supports, in circulation or at stops.

Occupancy display

Occupancy display

The cabin occupancy display is immensely important. It uses screens to show the operating staff and waiting passengers whether the next cabin is free or occupied.

It also works in combination with the light control.
As a result, the smart cabins are recognized at all times. The sensor detects whether someone is in the cabin and automatically switches the light control.

In the event of an emergency shutdown of the cable car, the light control is activated automatically and shows the emergency services which cabins are occupied and which are not.

Display pendulum motion

The integrated sensor of the MCCU 3.0 is used to detect pendulum movements of cabins. The sensor used is a combination of 3D accelerometer and 3D gyroscope. The sensor therefore always delivers 6 measured values.
The measured values can be queried with different sampling rates (10-80Hz). (Default: 10Hz). The data is queried from the sensor by the MCCU. The required calculations are performed by the MCCU.
In combination with position location, the operator can see at a glance in which rope sections there are increased pendulum movements (e.g. due to foehn winds).

Light control

Cabin light – automatically adjustable
As an orientation aid in front of stations for passengers, to facilitate and speed up evacuations or for special staging at events. The light control can be set via a calendar for all or individual cabins. You can also store in the system that the
Cabins light up in the desired color at night in the garage.

The cabin light can also be individually controlled by the passenger. Control of the light settings by the guest via WLAN landing page. Simply select the desired light on the tablet in the cabin and really relax!

Location

Vehicle localization along the route works via RFID.

RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) uses radio waves for the wireless transmission of the identity of an object. This means that cabins can be located and identified at any time.

In this way the operator can see where e.g. the vehicle with the emergency call is located, make position-dependent announcements, transport light effects or advertising messages.

Digital Signage

Customer communication and customer loyalty with content, news and offers through the digital signage system

Take advantage of the opportunities to communicate your information interactively, personalized and playfully using touchscreens or mobile applications.
Infotainment and advertising messages at the right time – even for the desired viewer – dynamic and concise.

Energy supply

Energy
supply

The system has a control unit for the autonomous energy supply of the units, among other things by means of a solar panel.

Depending on the project requirements, there are various options for charging the MCEUs of the vehicles while they are being parked (e.g. using sliding contacts) or while they are in the station, or to equip the vehicles with an autonomous power supply.

For example, a combination of solar cells, charging electronics and buffer storage tailored to the needs of the MCCU ensures the autonomous energy supply of the vehicles.

Sensor control

Sensor
control

The sensor module offers the use of a temperature and air pressure sensor. It is also used for voltage monitoring and energy consumption monitoring.

Special functions (switching on/off) can be performed by the receiver unit. This can be used to switch the (route) lighting on or off. It is possible, for example, that the lighting is switched on automatically when the doors are opened.
