APPLICATION AREA
CABLE CAR

Security, control and entertainment
Control and monitoring in public transport is a must have. With the specially developed Mobility Communication System, the ongoing operation of the cable car is optimized.
Thanks to the WiFi coverage of the entire route, employees can speak and talk to each other in individual cabins, play music or information announcements, control the lights in the individual cabins and access security cameras.
It is controlled centrally via a touch display in the control room.

CASE STUDY
CABLE CARS
- Wi-Fi along the entire route
- One-way and two-way intercommunication with the cable car cabins
- Playback of music or announcements
- Control of lighting in individual gondolas
- CCTV cameras
- autonomous energy supply and charging stations
- central control via a touch display at the control room
This project was realised by LOOP21 in close cooperation with Doppelmayr/Garaventa. LOOP21’s engineers developed a solution based on state-of-the-art network technology. Specially designed communication boxes with all necessary components were integrated in the cabins. A backhaul network which establishes all connections between stations and cabins was built up via a wireless local loop. Employees of the cable railway company can control the entire system centrally from the control room.
